FRIENDSHIP AIKIDO SEMINAR

March 13 – 15

Ameland, the island where friendships are made. Come join us for this immersive Aikido weekend retreat on the beautiful island of Ameland.
With senseis Ze’ev Erlich, Paul Jungschlager, and Lawrence Warry.

The theme of this year’s seminar will be the Japanese word “Hikari” (光), meaning light and shine. By practicing the principles of Aikido in friendship, we hope that something truly beautiful will shine among us, and through us, radiate out into the world.

FRIDAY (March 13th)
18:00 Dojo setup and tatami arrangement
19:30 – 21:00 Aikido (conducted by Paul, Lawrence, Ze’ev)

SATURDAY (March 14th)
8:00 – 9:00 Jogging, stretching and breathing at the beach with Lawrence.
10:30 – 11:45 Aikido (Paul)
15:30 – 16:45 Aikido (Ze’ev)
17:00 – 18:00 Aikido (Lawrence)
18:00 Group photo.
20:00 Dinner party at a restaurant (Sport Center).

SUNDAY (March 15th)
8:00 – 9:00 Jogging, stretching and breathing at the beach with Lawrence.
10:30 – 12:30 Joint class for the shiatsu and aikido groups:
Shiatsu and aikido movements and meditation + Demonstrations (Enbu).
15:30 – 17:00 Aikido (conducted by Paul, Lawrence, Ze’ev)
17:00 Tatami loading onto the truck.
20:00 Dinner party at the Sensei’s bungalow + short lecture + seminar feedback. Please bring food and drinks to share.

MONDAY (March 16th)
10:30 Check-out and coffee together.

🏡 Accommodation: We will be sharing bungalows at Urlaubspark Klein Vaarwater. Please let us know if you wish to stay in a shared bungalow. Otherwise, please enjoy staying anywhere around Buren, Ameland. Camping is also possible.
